How to Unzip Files

Our name tag bundle is delivered as a zip file. You need to unzip the zip file before using the name tags. Unzipping the file will extract the files contained in the zip file to a folder of your choice. We have included basic instructions on unzipping files for popular operating systems like Windows and Mac below. Note that if the instructions don't work for you, you will need to search Google for how to unzip files on your specific operating system.

Unzipping Files on Windows

  1. Right click on the zip file.
  2. Click on the option that reads "Extract all" (the wording may vary slightly depending on the version of Windows). This will open a new window with options for extracting the files.
  3. Choose a destination (folder) where you want to extract the files. The default destination is the folder where you saved the zip file. Skip to the next step unless you prefer to extract to a different folder. To choose a different folder, click the Browse button, select a folder, and click OK.
  4. Click the Extract button (the button may be labeled Next for earlier versions of Windows). View the extracted files in the destination folder after the extraction completes.

Unzipping Files on a Mac

  1. Right click on the zip file.
  2. Select "Open with."
  3. Click on "Archive Utility." The Archive Utility will then unzip your file to the same folder as your zip file.

Unzipping Files on a Mobile Device (Android, iOS, etc.)

You can do this in two ways:

  • Unzip the file on a desktop or laptop and transfer the unzipped files to your mobile device.
  • Search your app store to find an app that will unzip a zip file. You would need to read support materials for each specific app for further instructions.
